Celebrating the reopening of our newly refurbished Newcastle branch

This morning (Monday 13 March), we were delighted to reopen our Newcastle branch following its renovation.

After starting our refurbishment programme in 2021 with our flagship branch in Leek, Newcastle is the seventh of our branches to be transformed.

Since it closed on 10 February, the branch has had a complete makeover to better reflect our brand while offering a range of new and improved features for members. 

The new community wall gives local community groups and charitable organisations in the Newcastle area, a place to promote their upcoming events and activities, and members can now browse our website using the new iPad area.

The new engagement zone offers customers somewhere to sit and raise any questions away from the counter, while the branch entrance remains fitted with an automatic door to maintain maximum accessibility for members.

Richard Czapski, Branch Manager at Newcastle, said:

“Following the refurbishment, the team and I are delighted with the new look of the branch. We’re confident that our members will agree and make use of the new engagement zone we’ve set up to enhance the support and customer service that we provide for members.”

Richard and his team were proud to have reopened the branch with the support of Newcastle Town Mayor, Gillian Burnett, who was in attendance to reveal the newly transformed space.

While other financial institutions have been reducing their presence in local towns, the renovations to our twelve branches and our Head Office, reinforces just how much we’re committed to having a presence for our members across Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Cheshire and Shropshire.

Our Newcastle branch now has extended opening hours of 9:00am - 2:00pm, Monday to Friday and 9:15am – 12:00 noon on Saturdays, giving members more flexibility on when they can visit.

Our branch refurbishment programme continues, with the Congleton branch next in line to close for renovations on 17 March.
