If your mortgage deal is coming to an end in the next 3 months, we will have sent a letter to you outlining the next steps to take. Switching your mortgage deal with us is simple and straightforward. You have 1 of 3 options:

Am I eligible for additional lending?

If your mortgage is already with Leek United and you wish to raise additional funds for home improvements or capital raising, for example, to purchase a car or fund a holiday, then we may be able to help subject to eligibility. Additional borrowing may be considered 6 months after the completion of your mortgage. We have a team of Qualified Mortgage Advisers, trained to deliver the highest standard of customer service, we would be delighted to see if this is something we can help you with.
 

Please note, we don't offer additional borrowing for debt consolidation or bridging loans.

 

 

What happens next?

Your friendly Qualified Mortgage Adviser will explain exactly how much extra you're able to borrow. They will help recommend a mortgage product that is most suited to your individual circumstances and be on hand to answer any questions you may have when completing the relevant paperwork. You'll have time to consider all of the information provided and when you feel ready to do so, your adviser will submit the application and provide a formal offer.
 

Moving home?

If you're moving home and have an existing Leek United mortgage on the property, you may be able to keep the same interest rate deal of your mortgage product if it's one that is 'portable'. This means that you'll retain the benefits of the mortgage product, even if your address changes. Depending on whether you're moving to a property that has a higher or lower purchase price compared to your mortgage loan, will mean you either need to borrow more or borrow less on your mortgage.

 

The first thing to do is to find out if your current mortgage product is portable. You can do this by checking the terms and conditions provided to you when you first applied for your mortgage or getting in touch with us directly.
