As we continue to strengthen our community support, we’re pleased to see our next defibrillator installation, this time at Uttoxeter Racecourse. This new defibrillator will provide vital care equipment for guests and workers onsite, as well as those attending racecourse events.
The addition of this AED unit marks the ninth install across our four counties and follows our pledge to install 100 defibrillators over four years.
Our Uttoxeter Branch Manager, Daniel Nutt, said:
“It’s fantastic to be supporting another defibrillator installation in the Uttoxeter area. This ongoing commitment from the Society to install 100 defibrillators across our heartlands is really helping to reinforce our longstanding community focus. I’ve seen firsthand a defibrillator being used to help save someone’s life and can’t stress enough the importance of having these machines ready and available in our towns.”
Our Uttoxeter branch is located in the heart of the town centre on Market Place and the installation of this defibrillator at the racecourse demonstrates how we’re continuing to strengthen our commitment to the local community.
Uttoxeter Racecourse’s Executive Director, Brian Barrass, said:
“I’d like to thank Leek Building Society for the sponsorship of the new defibrillator at Uttoxeter Racecourse. The Racecourse sees in excess of 125,000 visitors throughout the year with its busy race meetings, events and caravan club. It’s also always open and used by the residents as a popular walking destination. Having the defibrillator available on site could be vital in saving someone’s life and it gives us peace of mind knowing that it’s here.”
