Our newly refurbished Hanley branch reopens

On Monday (5 June), we were delighted to reopen our Hanley branch following a renovation project to modernise the site.

Hanley was the tenth of our 12 branches to be transformed, having undergone a refurbishment to better reflect the building society’s brand and offer some new and improved features for our members to enjoy. 

The new community wall offers local charitable organisations and community groups in the wider Hanley area, a place to promote their upcoming events and activities, and members can now browse the leekbs.co.uk website using the new iPad area.

Thanks to the addition of an engagement zone, customers can now comfortably sit away from the counter and speak to a member of the team about any queries they have. The branch entrance remains equipped with an automatic door to maintain maximum accessibility for members.

Kieran and the Hanley branch team were proud to officially reopen the newly renovated space with Chief Executive, Andrew Healy, performing the ceremonial ribbon cut.

While other financial institutions are reducing their presence by closing branches, we’re hopeful these renovations demonstrate our ongoing commitment to our local high streets across Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Cheshire, and Shropshire.

Our refurbishment programme continues with the Derby branch now closed for renovations until 19 June.
