Our Derby branch reopens with a fresh new look and feel

On Monday (19 June), we reopened our Derby branch following a renovation to modernise the site. Derby was the eleventh of the Society’s 12 branches to be transformed.

Since it closed on 2 June, the branch has undergone a refurbishment to better reflect our brand and offer some new and improved features for members. 

The new community wall offers local charitable organisations and community groups in the wider Derby area, a place to promote their upcoming events and activities. Members can now also browse the leekbs.co.uk website using the new iPad area.

Thanks to the new engagement zone, customers can comfortably sit away from the counter and speak to a member of the team about any questions they have. The branch entrance remains equipped with an automatic door to maintain maximum accessibility for members.

Kieran and his team were proud to officially reopen the newly renovated space with our Chief Executive, Andrew Healy, performing the ceremonial ribbon cut.

While other financial institutions are reducing their presence by closing branches, these renovations demonstrate our commitment to our local high streets across Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Cheshire, and Shropshire.

We’re delighted to have started the renovations at our Oakengates branch, the final branch in our refurbishment programme. We look forward to its reopening on 4 July.
