Our newly refurbished Ashbourne branch reopens

On Monday 10 October, we reopened our Ashbourne branch, achieving our latest milestone as we continue to transform and modernise all twelve of our branches.

After initiating the renovation programme in 2021 with our Leek Derby Street branch, Ashbourne was the fourth to be refurbished following the recent reopenings in Cheadle and Uttoxeter.

Since it closed on Friday 9 September, our branch located on Ashbourne’s Victoria Square has undergone a major transformation to better reflect our brand. The modern fixtures and fittings were chosen in line with our key value, ‘Members First’, which enables us to better accommodate your needs as a member, while creating an open, contemporary and welcoming environment.

The branch entrance has been made fully accessible and the new engagement zone offers somewhere for you to discuss our range of savings and mortgage products with the branch staff away from the tills.

The new community area offers local groups and charitable organisations a place to share their upcoming events, and you can now browse the leekbs.co.uk website using the new iPads in branch.

Alison and her team were delighted to have reopened the branch with the support of Ashbourne Town Mayor, Martin Spencer, who was in attendance to reveal the new look of the premises in all its glory. 

The Ashbourne branch has now extended its weekday opening hours to 3:00pm, to offer you more flexibility on when you can visit.

As part of our commitment to our branches, we’re continuing to transform our high street locations, with our Leek St. Edward Street branch next in line to close for renovations on Friday 14 October.
