Ashbourne

Ashbourne is a lovely, picturesque, thriving market town in Derbyshire (also known as the ‘Gateway to Dovedale') famous, amongst other things, for its annual Royal Shrovetide Football game which takes place during the afternoon of Shrove Tuesday and also on the afternoon of Ash Wednesday.  During this event, the branch (as well as every other business in the town) is closed for safety reasons.

The branch opened in 1980 and provides a valuable service for the town and surrounding area.
