PATIENTS at a North Staffordshire hospital can look forward to some extra comfort and joy in 2017, thanks to a seasonal gift from Leek United.
A £500 donation from the Society is being used directly for the general charity fund at the Royal Stoke University Hospital in Stoke-on-Trent.
Steve Rushton, Charity Manager at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, said: “Every penny of Leek United’s generous gift will be used to enhance patient care and welfare at our hospital, and we are eternally grateful to the Society for thinking of us at this time of the year.”
Leek United has an annual tradition of making charitable Christmas donations in lieu of sending out corporate greetings.
Clare Beardmore, Leek United’s Head of Marketing & Products, said: “We are delighted to make this seasonal donation to the Royal Stoke University Hospital, and hope that it will help to make a positive difference to patients.”
Clare attended the hospital with Hannah Sergeant, Manager of the Society’s Hanley Branch to present the Society’s cheque to Steve Rushton.
A similar donation has been made to the Leek Moorlands Hospital.Back to news
