LEEK United has teamed up with Stoke City Football Club to help thousands of people from all walks of life achieve their personal and professional goals.
The Society has become a main supporter of the Stoke City Community Trust, a major initiative aimed at making a difference to the lives of local people in Staffordshire and South Cheshire.
The Community Trust has grown from a small organisation delivering football courses to becoming a leading provider of sporting, education and social programmes.
Leek United's Chief Executive, Kevin Wilson, said: "We already enjoy a very successful partnership with Stoke City Football Club via our ‘Save & Support' Affinity Account, and we are delighted to now extend that relationship to the Stoke City Community Trust.
"The Community' is at the heart of all that we do at Leek United, and the club's initiative matches our own philosophy of supporting local groups, individuals and organisations, making a positive impact on people's lives."
The main focus areas of the Trust are sports participation, Education and lifelong learning and Health and Well-being.
Some of the activities provided by the Community Trust include:
Employability workshops: which support young people through a personal centred development programmes designed to encourage young people to get back into education, employment or training.
Community Physical Activities session: - which support people to make positive life style changes through both activities and new lifestyle choices.
Developing a Sporting habit for life - The trusts multi-sports qualified coaches deliver sports sessions in a variety of Community locations to all members of the community.
Support Communities - through the Stoke City Community Fund primarily supporting local, organisation with small grants to help improve the lives and experiences of local people through Community based projects.
