Dear Valued Member,
At Leek United, we understand you may be worried about the impact of Coronavirus (Covid-19) on you and how you manage your finances. I want to reassure you we’re here to help in any way we can.
We’ve created a dedicated section on our website to keep you up to date. You’ll find this at www.leekunited.co.uk/news/coronavirus/. On this page, you’ll obtain the latest information on how we can assist you to manage your savings or your mortgage, particularly if you’re concerned about making payments over the coming weeks or months. We’ve also included all the relevant support and contact details you’ll need.
The health and safety of our staff and our members is our top priority. We’re constantly monitoring the latest developments in relation to Covid-19 and acting on official Government advice. As building societies fall into the essential services category, we will try to keep as many branches open as we’re able to. You’ll find the latest information in relation to the opening hours of our branches and customer support services on our website at all times. In line with the most recent Government advice to stay at home, we would respectfully ask members to avoid visiting our branches unless it is for essential activity. If you feel unwell, please do not visit a branch at all.
As a mutual building society, one of the things that makes us special is our focus on supporting the communities we serve and helping those who need it most. We’re currently liaising with a number of local charities and community groups to help them at this challenging time when they may be struggling for funding and general support. We’re also proactively assisting as many of our elderly and vulnerable members as possible.
Our teams have responded brilliantly to the challenges of this unprecedented situation and I’m really grateful for the positive feedback many of our members have conveyed regarding our exceptional staff. As a member-focused building society for more than 150 years, we’re committed to supporting you, and our local communities, in every safe way possible.
On behalf of everyone at Leek United Building Society, I would like to extend our very best wishes to you and yours. I sincerely hope you can stay safe and healthy through this most difficult period.
With kindest personal regards.
