Leek United has taken its support of a Staffordshire football club into extra time, thanks to a new sponsorship deal.
Under the three-year agreement, the Society continues as a Community Partner of Leek Town FC.
And as ‘The Blues’ start preparations for their 2019/20 campaign in the Northern Premier League South East Division, Leek United’s renewed backing will help to ensure the club continues to grow at ‘grass-roots’ level.
Andrew Healy, the Society’s Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to be continuing our sponsorship of Leek Town FC. Sport is a terrific way of uniting the community, and we hope that our sponsorship will help the club to continue to grow and enjoy a successful season.”
Leek United first teamed up with its ‘home’ team in 2005. Since then, the Society’s familiar ‘pyramid’ logo has been a permanent fixture around the Harrison Park ground for the club’s Evo-Stik League home matches.
Harrison Park is also the venue of Leek United's successful six-a-side Schools Football Tournament. In conjunction with Leek Town FC, the tournament is held every May and always proves popular with local schools.
Jon Eeles, Leek Town FC Chairman, said: “Leek United has been a long-term partner of Leek Town Football Club and we are delighted that a new agreement has now been put in place.
“As our Community Partner, the Society’s support will underpin some of the work in our award-winning Junior Section and our newly-formed Junior Supporters Club. Leek Town is a Club cemented in the local community and we are fortunate to have the support of such a great local business.”Back to news
