STOKE City fan Warren Horne became a VIP for the day after joining the growing crowd of Leek United ‘Save & Supporters’.
Warren is the 1,000th person to sign up for the Society’s exclusive Stoke City Football Club ‘Save & Support’ Affinity Account.
And to celebrate the milestone, he was given a special invitation to cheer on his favourite team at the Britannia Stadium for the Potters’ recent Barclays Premier League victory against West Ham on 15th May.
Warren, of Cheadle in the Staffordshire Moorlands, was presented with two Sky Lounge passes and match tickets for the end-of-season game, which he attended with wife Anne.
“It was a real treat, and we were surprised and delighted to win the prize!” said life-long Stoke City fan and season ticket holder Warren.
“We opened our ‘Save & Support’ account at our local Leek United branch in Cheadle. The big thing for us is that it’s a local building society, with a great reputation – that’s why we chose it.”
Clare Beardmore, Leek United’s Head of Marketing and Sales, said: “Our Stoke City Football Club ‘Save & Support’ Affinity Account has proved a consistent winner with fans and savers alike since we first launched it, and we’re delighted to be able to welcome our 1,000th account holder.”
Opening a 'Save & Support' Affinity Account gives 'Potters' fans the chance to make a great save - AND boost support for their favourite team.
All account holders are entered into free draws throughout the Premiership season. Exclusive prizes for both Adult and Junior Account Holders include: Mascot Package, Media Day, Meet the Manager and Meet the Chief Executive.
The account can be opened with as little as £1, and provides savers with the benefit of instant access to their money.
