A new challenge for our Three Peaks team...

10th August 2018

Our Three Peaks Challenge* – due to take place this weekend (11-12 August) has had to be postponed, due to unforeseen circumstances.

The hire vehicle booked to take our intrepid team on their 462-mile journey to climb the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales has developed a major engine fault – and, unfortunately, no replacement can be found at such short notice.

We’re not going to let a setback like this defeat us, however – and we’re currently working hard to arrange an alternative big challenge!

In the meantime, a huge Leek United ‘thank you’ to all who have donated to the cause – and the fundraising continues…

We have special collecting boxes distributed throughout our participating branches (Ashbourne, Cheadle, Congleton, Hanley, Leek Derby Street, Leek St Edward Street, Market Drayton, Newcastle, Oakengates and Uttoxeter).

We’ve also set up a dedicated ‘JustGiving’ page here where you can make donations.

Keep checking our facebook and twitter pages for news of a new Challenge date – and to keep track of how the fundraising total is growing.

*The Three Peaks Challenge was part of Leek United’s bid to raise £10,000 for the Stoke-on-Trent-based Donna Louise* throughout this year.

The Donna Louise provides respite and end of life care for children and young adults with life-limiting conditions, as well as support for the whole family. It needs to raise £3 million every year to continue to provide this vital service.
