Leek United has appointed Laura Allcock as Intermediary Mortgages Team Manager as the Society continues to grow its broker team.
Laura has worked for the society for over four years, including management positions at two of the branches, giving her an excellent track record in leading successful teams, increasing branch sales and developing regional marketing.
She will manage the in-house telephone intermediary team as well as the BDMs who are out on the road meeting with intermediaries and providing valuable support and training.
With extensive experience in providing product information, Laura will be pro-active in building business from brokers and developing new relationships in the intermediary sector.
Laura commented: “I’m very excited to start my new role managing the intermediary team and driving business forward. Leek United have lots of innovative mortgages to help brokers build their business and in this regard we are the industries best kept secret! I’ll ensure our high service levels continue and work with brokers to get their feedback as they are at the heart of what we do in this market.”

Leek United recently introduced an intermediary online affordability calculator for residential mortgages and mortgage offers are now valid for 6 months. They have been announced as a finalist in the Best Variable Rate Mortgage Provider category of the 2019 Moneyfacts Awards. They also won UK’s Best Variable Rate Mortgage Lender in the 21st annual Personal Finance Awards and were Highly Commended in the First-time Buyer Mortgage Provider category in the 2018 Moneynet awards.Back to news
