The Role

Reporting to our Director of Customer Services, you’ll lead the development and execution of our marketing and communication plans for all of the Society’s activities. You’ll lead a small team to create impactful, responsive and engaging marketing campaigns which support our business goals and our values as a responsible mutual business. You’ll be a proven top level communicator, with a terrific grasp of the English language and an ability to succinctly and clearly convey messages to our target audiences. Your written communication skills must therefore be exemplary. You’ll be an engaging leader of people with a proven ability to stimulate and motivate your own team and others. Continuously improving is at the heart of what we do and you’ll be flexible and proactive while demanding high standards of yourself and others. You’ll also be innovative with a ‘think outside the box’ mentality.

All in all, you’ll therefore need to be a dynamic high-performer to meet our requirements for this key role.  But if you’re at the level we need, you’ll enjoy a senior level role in a great working environment with an excellent reward package.

Required Skills & Experience

  • It’s essential that you’ll have worked in a senior role in the marketing and/or communications department of a reputable financial services organisation.
  • You’ll understand the regulatory requirements associated with a role at this level.
  • You’ll have exemplary written communication skills which you’ll be able to evidence.
  • Ideally you’ll have a relevant marketing and/or communication qualification but your proven ability to do the job is more important than this.
  • You’ll have significant expertise in digital marketing and public relations.
