Brett adds a seasonal touch to Society's website 15 / 12 / 2011

PHOTOGRAPHER Brett Trafford has added a real seasonal touch to Leek United's website.

His beautiful snowscapes have provided a suitably fitting backdrop to the Society's internet ‘shop window' this winter.

Familiar countryside scenes and landmarks pictured in and around the Staffordshire Moorlands are featured on each of the web pages for the Society's branches in Cheshire, Derbyshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire.

And as the year moves on through spring, summer and autumn, Brett is hoping to continue to help Leek United's online appearance to reflect the seasons.

Steve Boulton, Leek United's Head of IT and Savings, said: "The more interesting we make our website for customers, the more repeat visits we are likely to get.

"Brett's pictures have already received a lot of positive comments, and we're delighted they're helping us to keep the site looking fresh and innovative."

Born, bred and based in Leek, Brett is internationally recognised for both his landscape and portrait work - and prior to turning fully professional, worked himself in the financial services industry.

Nick Sheldon, of Leek United's IT Department turned Brett's photographs into background images for the Society's website, which includes a unique community events and local news page for each of its 12 branches.

One special feature of the website is a ‘hide content' button, which enables visitors to the site to simply enjoy the quality of the photographs.

"Nick picked a selection of some winter shots from my portfolio for the website, and I'm looking forward to taking more and continuing to showcase my work with Leek United as the year goes on," said Brett, who also produces a regular Staffordshire Moorlands photo blog on his own website, http://bretttrafford.com/
