A new look for the Autumn 14 / 10 / 2011
LEEK
United's old-style branch office in Derby Street, Leek will complete an
‘overnight transformation' to unveil its new-look for the Autumn this week...
The branch
closes its doors at 4.45pm on Thursday (6th October) - to be ‘replaced' by
new-look premises when staff open again at 9.15am the next morning (7th
October).
It has
undergone refurbishment inside and out, as part of a rolling programme of
upgrades throughout the Society's branch network in Staffordshire, Cheshire,
Derbyshire and Shropshire.
Externally,
a facelift has brought the branch neatly into line with the Society's recent
subtle new corporate identity. Leek United has worked closely with local
authority officials to ensure that the new fascia - in a brighter shade of
green - is in keeping with the town's conservation area.
Meanwhile,
new furnishing inside completes what Branch Manager Sheila Kirk hopes will be
an enhanced customer experience for members.
"We hope
people like our ‘new look' for the Autumn," she said. "It's been very much
‘business as usual' during the refurbishment, but we would still like to thank
everyone for bearing with us while the work has been going on."
The Leek
Derby Street team will be welcoming visitors to the branch with refreshments
and nibbles throughout the working day on Friday. Theirs is the last branch to
undergo a facelift under the Leek United refurbishment programme.
