Our Over 50s Life Insurance Plan (provided by Legal & General Assurance Society Limited) can help you do just that.

The cash sum could help your family to pay for your funeral expenses or unpaid bills.  You could even leave it as a gift for your grandchildren.  They could put it towards their first car or a computer or university fees or maybe something special to remember you by.

OVER 50s FIXED AND INCREASING LIFE INSURANCE PLAN AT A GLANCE:

Guaranteed acceptance for UK residents aged 50 to 80.

No medical or health assessment when you apply.

Premiums from just £5 per month dependant on the individual's age and gender.

Cash payout after two years regardless of the cause of death - If you die within the first two years of starting your plan Legal & General will not pay the cash sum but will return all the premiums paid.  However, if you die as the result of an accident (exclusions and limitations apply), then the full cash sum will be paid instead.

Lifelong cover - As long as you pay your premiums when they are due.  If you reach your 90th birthday you stop paying premiums but your cover will continue for the rest of your life.

There is no cash-in value to this plan, if you stop paying premiums when they are due, the plan will be cancelled and you won't get anything back.

Depending on how long you live, total premiums paid may be greater than the cash sum payable on death.

Inflation may reduce the value of the cash sum over time.  The Increasing Plan option gives you a way to help it keep up with the cost of living, as measured by the Retail Prices Index (RPI).
