Derby
In 1956 Leek United opened a branch in Derby town centre.
Derby changed its status to city in June 1977 and the ‘Cathedral of All Saints' contains the oldest ring of ten bells in the United Kingdom.
Derby is one of the furthest land-locked areas in Britain from the sea. The 'International Load Line' or 'Plimsoll Line' (waterline), was introduced by Samuel Plimsoll who was an MP for Derby.
